Tanapat Deesuwan received his Ph.D. from Imperial College London as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training programme in Controlled Quantum Dynamics, working under Dr Janet Anders. His research focused on theoretical quantum thermodynamics and the application of statistics to study fundamental physics. In 2014, with his advisor and Prof. Peter Barker’s group from University College London, he published a paper about non-equilibrium nanoscale thermometry using optically levitated nanosphere which appeared in Nature Nanotechnology. He is now working as a lecturer in Department of Physics, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand.
